The X-Fly carbon wave boom is a premium boom for experienced and performance-oriented riders.
PREPREG CARBON FOR A STIFF AND LIGHT BOOM
The pre-impregnated carbon technology of Nautix booms limits boom flex and sail profile deformation, while transmitting power directly to the boom front, mast and board for a fast planing start.
A C-SHAPE BOOM
The X-Fly carbon wave boom is a “C” shaped boom. The C-shape is an ergonomic advantage: the windsurfer is placed far away from the front of the sail, which gives a better leverage. It also allows you to vary your body position: you can move away from or towards the sail when sailing, surfing in the waves or jibing.
ONE-PIECE CONSTRUCTION
Nautix X-Fly Carbon Wave booms are a one-piece design, which means they are made of a single, continuously shaped tube. This is a new technology on the windsurfing market. The main advantage is that no holes are drilled in the front part of the aluminium or carbon boom, which avoids weakening it.
SMALL DIAMETER FOR PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT
Smaller diameter booms offer more comfort for the hands but also less rigidity. The X-Fly Carbon Wave boom is compatible with RDM and SDM masts.
THE X-FLY CARBON WAVE BOOM COMES IN A SLIM VERSION
Its reduced diameter of 24.5mm gives it more comfort. It is designed for light weight sailors under 75kg who like to sail smoothly.
COMFORTABLE SAILING
Comfort when sailing is crucial to enjoy windsurfing. Our fungrip is known on all the spots for being soft in the hand and avoiding hand trauma.
The rear handle adjustment system has been designed to be fast while sailing. You can also manage a 50cm extension with a 2.5cm adjustment to suit your sail and sailing conditions. The extension is adjusted with an exclusive Nautix push lock system. Very reliable and ergonomic, the Nautix push lock is easy to use even during a winter session. On carbon booms, the push locks are equipped with a double axis for better protection of the carbon.
CARE AND ADVICE
To keep your X-Fly carbon wave boom as long as possible, Nautix recommends rinsing it with fresh water after each windsurfing session.
To store it, find a place where it won’t be exposed to shocks or unnecessary sunlight.
